ENTRIES FOR THE 2011 FESTIVAL ARE NOW CLOSED

This year we are expanding the festival guidelines to include films of longer duration. We had so many quality submissions that fell outside the twelve minute limit last year that we decided to allow for films up to twenty minutes in length.
We are asking Producers to enter their film into one of the following categories:
1. Animation 2. Drama 3. Documentary 4. Open
The finalists in each category will be screened at the closing ceremony where the awards will be presented to the best in each category, & the best in show. Details of the presentation and awards can be found on the 'Program' section of this website.
Guidelines for Submissions:
| All films must be original works that have not been submitted to this festival before. |
| All films must have been completed inside the last two years prior to 16th September 2011. |
| The Duration of the submitted works should be from 30 sec – 20 mins with longer films considered at the discretion of the festival committee. |
| The film must be submitted with production credits and contact information. |
| Two copies of each film should be submitted as standard PAL format DVD without copy protection (region 4 or no region). |
| A CD/DVD data disk of publicity stills from the film must also be included. Please include a minimum of two images in Jpeg format no smaller than 1024 x 576 pixels. |
| Please also include a one to two paragraph synopsis of the film. |
| For each film submitted there will be fee of $25 to cover costs, payable to The Blue Mountains Film Festival. |
| All entries must be received at P.O. Box 7064, Leura, NSW 2780, by 5pm, 16th September 2011 |
Although all works will be assessed, we regret that not all films we receive will be chosen for screenings due to the suitability and volume of entries. Selection Judging and Awards Judging will be undertaken by panels appointed by the The Blue Mountains Film Festival and their decisions are final and no correspondence will be entered into.
While due care is taken, the Festival accepts no responsibility for technical damage to films, loss or theft for the period of time that the films are in possession of the Festival. The Festival regrets that due to the logistics involved, they will be unable to return any of the submitted works.
